Tom Proietti, professor, Communication, in VaPA, has received the St. John Fisher College 2006 Peace and Justice Spirit Award. The award honors people with Fisher connections who have dedicated themselves to lives of "intellectual, professional and civic integrity embracing the values of goodness, discipline and knowledge." Proietti founded the Communication/Journalism program at Fisher in the 1970s and continues to teach there part-time and to work with Fisher graduates.
