M. McCullough receives DCC Certificate of Appreciation


On May 12, 2010, Michael McCullough, Librarian, was presented with a framed DCC certificate of appreciation by the Damon City Campus Executive Team: Dr. Emeterio Otero, DCC Executive Dean; Dr. Ann Topping, Dean, DCC Student Services; Kate Schiefen, Dean, DCC Academic Services; and Marie Fetzner, Assistant to the VP, Educational Technology Services (ETS)/ETS DCC liaison.

Mike was honored for his years of exemplary customer service and library instruction activities at the Damon City Campus library. A portion of the certificate of appreciation reads:  “For outstanding commitment to the students, faculty, and staff of the Damon City Campus.”

  

Dr. Otero noted, “During Mike’s tenure at the Damon City Campus, he gave excellent guidance to our students, helping them become life-long learners.”

Dr. Jeffrey Bartkovich, Vice President, ETS, stated” Mike’s talents have been well used and appreciated at the Damon City Campus. He has developed many connections with the students and faculty which have supported the extension of library services to the DCC community.”

As of June1, Mike will be assigned to the LeRoy V. Good library on the Brighton campus. Mike will focus on instruction and reference assistance and on library Web 2.0 initiatives, the use of electronic devices, purchase-on-demand and other library technology initiatives related to emerging technologies.
