Michael Boester, Timothy McDonnell Present at WSTCSS Fall Conference


Assistant Professor Michael Boester, Chemistry/Geosciences, and Adjunct Instructor Timothy McDonnell, Chemistry/Geosciences,  presented at the Western Southern Tier Council for the Social Studies Fall 2009 Fall Conference in Corning, N.Y. on Nov. 14 and 15.

Boester served as the keynote speaker for the plenary luncheon on Nov. 15. He spoke about the “Geography of the Holy Land.” His presentation followed a recent trip to Israel. Boester is a member of the New York Geographic Alliance (NYGA).

McDonnell presented three teaching workshops during the conference, entitled “Geography of Cobblestones,” "Geography of the Underground Railroad,” and “But Rivers Can’t Flow North – That’s Uphill!” McDonnell is co-coordinator of the NYGA which is housed at MCC.
