Professor Mark Ernsthausen (Mathematics) is one of five SUNY professors selected to participate in an ambitious 25-state project. The project, a partnership between the New York State Education Department, SUNY, and the Partnership for the Assessment of Readiness for College and Career, will develop assessments for English Language Arts and Mathematics that are aligned with Common Core State Standards and that promote college and career readiness.
Professor Ernsthausen will attend the opening conference in Albany on April 28th, joining Dr. Deborah Moeckel, Assistant Provost for Community College Education. The work of this group promises to re-shape K-12 curricula, reinforce more robust student learning outcomes, and improve the academic preparation of our entering first-year students.
