Passing of Brenda Muller, Bursar's Office

I am deeply saddened to share with you the news that Brenda Muller, data entry cashier in the Bursar’s Office, passed away yesterday. Her smile, spirit, laughter and service to students will be sorely missed.

Brenda joined the MCC family in 1990 in the position of accounts payable clerk II in the Controller’s Office. She assumed the Bursar’s Office cashier position in 1996. During the summer of 1999, she temporarily filled the role of assistant bursar. Brenda loved to sing and lent her voice to the college's first September 11th Remembrance Ceremony.

Prior to MCC, Brenda worked at the Urban League of Rochester for four years, in various roles focused on serving young people. She also worked at the Rochester City School District as a program counselor in the mid-1980s. Her professional career began at Rochester Saving Bank, as a teller supervisor.

Brenda was a lifetime member of and very active in the Church of God by Faith, where she served as musical director. She loved to sing the gospel and gave praise to God every day. Serving students was also a deeply-felt passion.

Brenda studied psychology at the University of Rochester and was a member of the Williamson Central High School Class of 1975.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Reginald Muller III; two sons, Reginald and Jamel; and one daughter, Ashley. All of her children are or have been enrolled at MCC.

Arrangements are incomplete at this time. We will share them with you as soon as they become available.
