Labor Secretary's Visit to ATC Generates Media Coverage
U.S. Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis spent 1½ hours at MCC’s Applied Technologies Center touring the facility, chatting with students and faculty, and learning more about an advanced manufacturing training initiative that MCC will lead with the support of a $14.6 million federal grant.
Secretary Solis was hosted by SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher and President Kress. Community leaders in business development and advanced manufacturing, as well as elected officials and several MCC students, took part in the visit.
