GeoFest 2017 - MCC Celebrates Geography!

GeoFest 2017 is a mini-conference held each fall here at Monroe Community College. This event is sponsored by the Dept. of Chemistry/Geosciences and the New York Geographic Alliance. It will be held on this Saturday, November 11th. It features three workshop sessions on a wide variety of geographic topics and an optional field trip to Mt. Hope Cemetery in the afternoon. All students and staff are welcome to register FREE of charge.

The sessions will open at 9:00 AM with a welcome from Dean Dan Robertson in the Forum in Building 3. Coffee and pastries will be available. Our special guests include representatives from two Erie Canal museums - Camillus Erie Canal Village and Historic Palmyra. They will have tables in the Forum.

After the opening session, most of the workshops will be in Building 11 on the third floor. If you would like to see the program for GeoFest, you can download it from the NYGA Website or find it in the GEO folder on the M-Drive.

If you have any questions, contact Tim McDonnell at Ext. 2398 or email him at tmcdonnell@monroecc.edu.
