On Monday, October 27th, George Moses from The North East Area Development and the Freedom school came to the Damon City Campus to talk about the work being done at the Freedom School. We were fortunate that one of our current education majors at DCC is working at the Freedom School and she shared with us how this school is making a difference with the youth in the community.
The Human Service Club is currently collecting books and school supplies for the Freedom School. They need books and material appropriate for students from kindergarten age to mid teens. If you have any have materials that you would like to donate, please leave the materials in the orange boxes. At the Damon City Campus, there is a collection box on the fourth floor near the security station and a box outside room 5083 in the Human Service Suite. Thank you for helping our children learn to love to read.
