Heeding President Barack Obama’s call to service, members of Rochester AmeriCorps from the Damon City Campus participated in “a day on, not a day off,” on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Jan. 19. AmeriCorps members and community volunteers helped refurbish facilities at a Volunteers of America emergency shelter. The project was covered by local news channels 9, 10, and 13.
