What You Need to Know About Green T-shirts, Frontier Field and Downtown Campus Parking

Public Safety and Parking Services would like to welcome Downtown Campus faculty, staff and students to the new Downtown Campus!

The MCC Downtown Campus has the unique advantage of being a neighbor to Frontier Field stadium. If you have attended a Red Wings baseball game at Frontier Field this year, you have already witnessed the MCC event parking staff in action. This team of energetic men and women arrive at MCC parking Lot AA, Kodak Lot C and Kodak Lot D two (2) hours prior to the start of a Frontier Field event to collect the public parking fee, direct vehicles to available parking spaces and direct people to their destination.

Several members of the MCC event parking staff are Downtown Campus students and are excited to take part in the opening of the new campus. They look forward to assisting College employees and students who enter or exit the parking lots while they are on duty. Just look for the bright green T- shirts with the MCC logo on the front and EVENT PARKING on the back.

MCC Lot AA has an entrance lane and an exit lane off Morrie Silver Way. Two (2) hours prior to the start of a game, when the MCC event parking staff takes over, both lanes will become ENTRANCE lanes. Any vehicle EXITING Lot AA while the MCC event parking staff is on duty will be directed to exit at the S. Plymouth Ave. parking gate, located at the south end of Lot AA. This is the exit across S. Plymouth Ave. from the stadium, just a few yards from the railroad tracks. Vehicles exiting Lot AA at this location may turn left or right onto S. Plymouth Ave.

PLEASE NOTE - The WED., JUNE 7th Red Wings Baseball Game starts at 12:35 P.M. The MCC event parking staff will start parking vehicles at 10:30 A.M.

Employees and students who are on College business will be allowed to park in Lot AA at no additional charge during the campus's official hours of operation (7 A.M.-10 P.M. Monday through Friday and 8 A.M.-4 P.M. on Saturday). Employees and students should be prepared to show their current MCC IDs to access the lot during Frontier Field events. Space availability is not guaranteed as parking is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Employees who access the lot during the two-hour period prior to an event or during an event, who are not on college business will be charged $6.00 for parking fee, the same fee that all Frontier Field attendees pay. Employees who are parked in this lot prior to it being opened for Frontier Field events parking need not move their vehicle or pay extra.

This arrangement is part of an agreement between MCC and the Greater Rochester Outdoor Sports Facility Corporation, which manages the operation of Frontier Field for the county, and applies to all Frontier Field events.

Frontier Field will host the following events this week:

  • Tues., June 6 - Red Wings baseball game - 7:05 pm
  • Wed., June 7 - Red Wings baseball game - 12:35 pm
  • Thurs,, June 8 - Red Wings baseball game - 7:05 pm
  • Fri., June 9 - Red Wings baseball game - 7:05 pm
  • Sat., June 10 - Red Wings baseball game - 7:05 pm
