Eat Well Live Well News

The MCC Eat Well, Live Well Challenge began Sunday, March 2nd and will run until Saturday, April 26th.  EWLW is a program sponsored by Wegmans in which participants are encouraged to eat healthier and become more active.  Members keep track of their steps throughout the day using a pedometer supplied by MCC.  They also keep track of their daily intake of fruits and vegetables.  Everyone creates their own goals at the beginning of the challenge by entering them on the EWLW website.

Please enter your steps and fruits/vegetables count for the first week by today.  If you miss the deadline, you can contact Craig Rand at Ext. 2859 and he can help you get them into the system.

We will draw names for a weekly prize drawing.  To qualify for the drawing, participants need only to have entered their stats for that week.  A drawing for a Fitbit will be held at the finish for all those who have entered their stats throughout the whole challenge.

We encourage teams to compete with each other during the challenge as well.  The challenge between teams could be for lunch, a healthy dessert, or another creative prize.  We’d love to hear what prizes the teams have come up with for their challenges.

It’s not too late to join us in this great opportunity to do something good for yourself and also have some fun with colleagues.

Pedometers can be picked up in Human Resources.  We’ll see you walking in the halls; enjoy!
