WXXI’s Michelle Faust reporting: https://wxxinews.org/post/police-community-relations-july-64-today-0
Verdis Robinson, instructor of history and African-American studies, and Joe Sturnick, associate professor of law and criminal justice, were interviewed about their personal experiences involving the riots and how the incidents 50 years ago are incorporated into their classroom instruction. There is also a video interview of MCC student Herman Rumlin as he led community members on a walking tour along Joseph Avenue.
The final two tours this month are scheduled for 4 p.m. July 29 and July 31 starting at the Lincoln Branch Library, 851 Joseph Ave.
