I regret to inform you of the passing of Mr. Leslie “Les” M. Wetherbee, Jr., professor emeritus, on Sunday June 29 in Ocala, Florida.
Les joined the staff of Monroe Community College as an assistant professor in the Instructional Services Department in February 1967. He taught technical audio and video concepts in the Audio-Visual Department for over five years. In 1973, the Equipment Services Department was formed and Les served as the head of the department until his retirement in 1984.
Les is survived by his wife Alice and his sons David L. (Elizabeth ) Wetherbee of Chicago, Illinois, and Mark S. (Christine) Wetherbee of Rochester.
Les was an avid golfer, a member of the VFW, the Masons, and the United States Golfing Association.
