Leading with labor market data - new MCC program based economic impact analysis report released.

Earlier this year, the MCC Economic Development and Innovative Workforce Services division partnered with Emsi to conduct a new program based economic impact analysis of 22 MCC associate degree, academic and non-credit certificate programs offered within EDIWS and Academic Services. The report, titled SUNY Monroe Community College Program Based Economic Impact Analysis, assesses the impact of these program graduates on the Monroe County economy and the estimated benefits generated to both the student and the region from students attaining education within specific fields of study in our local economy. The programs included in this analysis were selected based on employer's expressed demand for trained workers in these fields and previous supply and demand analyses hosted on www.mcclmi.com.

Ultimately, these data demonstrate the overall strong value that MCC provides to students and the community from upskilling and educating workers in the fields of health care, advanced manufacturing and skilled trades through a robust catalog of courses taught by experienced faculty. I encourage you to review this report, and think about how the insights provided might apply to your programs. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly at toldham@monroecc.edu.
