Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day

The MCC chapter of the American Association for Women in Community College (AAWCC) is proud to sponsor the Take our Daughters and Sons to Work Day event again in 2009!   Can we please have one hour of your time toward this great event?

We are looking for people to conduct presentations. Your presentation can be at a time that works with your schedule on that day.  It would be great to have at least one from each MCC department!

The event is scheduled much earlier this year – April 9, 2009.  The national date established for the day conflicts with our spring break.  Presentations are planned in one hour increments between the hours of 9 am and 3:30 pm.   Keep in mind that the event will be held at BOTH the  Brighton and Damon CIty campuses.

The theme for this year’s event is “Building Partnerships to Educate and Empower”.  Your presentation can be on a variety of topics within your area of expertise.  The age range of youth attending is ages 8-18.   We ask that you loosely incorporate the theme when you can as it is open to numerous interpretations.  The main intent of the day is to educate youth about the world of work and the many career directions available to them.

Please reply by filling out the attached Presenter Information Form, return it to Marie Gibson (electronic or snail mail) by February 28, 2009
