MCC Daily Tribune

Marketing Update

You may see video crews around campus this spring. Marketing and Community Relations will be creating new TV commercials as well as video for digital marketing and www.monroecc.edu for fall '18 recruitment. Production will take place over the next several weeks. Watch the MCC Daily Tribune for updates.

Direct mail continues consistently throughout the year. This month, we are working with Admissions to invite back students who once attended MCC but did not complete, as well as new prospects who have not yet finished their applications. Invitations to the advising and registration sessions were sent last week to new students.

Email is another way we regularly connect with prospects. MCR and Admissions are currently reaching out to 20,000 prospects who contacted SUNY.edu looking for information on SUNY colleges and programs.

Advertisements at targeted regional colleges are currently running to promote our summer session.

The MCC viewbook was just updated to reflect guided pathways and focus more on outcomes. In addition, new collaterals were developed specifically for traditional high school prospects and for adults. These pieces will be used by Admissions counselors at college fairs, community events, and other visits.

Social media is another important way that MCC recruits students. Strategic posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram share the MCC full college experience and community life.

Our biggest front door, www.monroecc.edu, is also continuously updated to help prospective students find the information they need to apply.

Also watch for updates to the inspiration wall at the Brighton Campus. We'll update the wall with a new story about a student who is working in optics, as well as update the existing stories as our alumni continue to achieve and inspire.
