MCC swimmers Ashley Burns and Sean McNamara were named the MCC Athletes of the Week.
Burns, a freshman was a double winner in a meet against Brockport and also won once against Geneseo and RIT. She placed first in the 400 IM (4:58.74) and the 100 back (1:06.14) against Brockport. In the second meet, she won the 200 breaststroke in 2:42.28.
McNamara, a freshman, won two events in a dual meet against Brockport and two more against SUNY Geneseo and Rochester Institute of Technology. Against Brockport, McNamara won the 50 freestyle (22.29) and the 100 freestyle (49.50). In the second meet, he won the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.28 and was also part of the winning 200 free relay team.
