Bartholome and Popular Culture

Lynn Bartholome, associate professor, English and Philosophy, was the keynote speaker at the Phi Theta Kappa New York Regional Honors Institute on January 21 in Troy, New York. She spoke on popular culture, PTK's honors topic for 2004-2006.

Bartholome's article, "The Value of Teaching Popular Culture in the Community College: A Stew of Abstract, Concrete, Serious, and Not-So-Serious Notions," was recently published by McFarland Publishing in the book, Popular Culture Across the Curriculum, edited by Ray Browne.

Bartholome is currently a visiting professor at Michigan State University and will return to MCC in the fall.
