Nancy Woodhams to Represent MCC at Area Humorous Speech Contest

Congratulations Nancy Woodhams, Facilities, for winning the MCC Toastmasters 3rd annual Humorous Speech Contest with her speech, The Wave.  Woodhams' speech gave the audience a funny view of proper etiquette for thanking someone who lets you in on the road. Alice Harrington, Library, and Karen Frantz, Student Support Services, presented humorous speeches as well.

Woodhams who serves as vice president education for the MCC Toastmasters Club will advance to the next level.  You can hear Nancy's speech on the Oct. 15 at 11:30 am at the Area 6 Humorous and Evaluation Contest, to be held at the Perinton Recreation Center on Turk Hill Road.

The MCC Toastmasters Club is open to all MCC faculty and staff and is based on an international communication and leadership program. The club is designed to provide a friendly, supportive environment for skills development. Meetings are scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month in the Brighton Room (3-217) at 4:45.  Upcoming meetings will be held on October 11th and the 25th. Mark your calendars! Come enjoy some great speeches and meet some new friends!
