Rowley, Trescott Appear on Rochester in Focus

Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project Vice Presidents Elissa Rowley and Brandilea Trescott were guests on the October 25 Rochester in Focus program. (Rochester in Focus is WHEC-TV’s public affairs program that airs at 7 a.m. on Sundays.) The student leaders talked about how their involvement in the project changed their lives and influenced their decision to become advocates for human rights.

In addition to promoting upcoming programs, Rowley and Trescott talked about the project’s efforts to support Water for Sudan through its recent, highly successful Walk/Run for Water on Oct. 17. The walk raised approximately $5,000 towards the goal of $6,000. ($6,000 needs to be raised to secure a matching grant from an anonymous donor.)

Members of the college community may still contribute to the effort. Please send your check (made payable to Water for Sudan) to the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project Office (3-138K) or Angelique Stevens (English/Philosophy, DCC 4222).
