I am sad to inform the college community that Patricia Falanga, retired director of our Health Services department, died last Friday. When Patricia began her MCC career in 1976, she slowly began a program of outreach that improved the College’s health services function. An active member of several professional health organizations and a frequent presenter on health-related issues, Patricia also lent her professional talents to many college-wide committees and initiatives. She retired in 1998.
Prior to coming to MCC, Patricia was the Nursing Director of Wayne County Rural Comprehensive Health Program. She earned both a B.S. and a M.S. in nursing from the University of Rochester.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, March 17, 3– 5 pm at the Sugar Funeral Home, 224 W. 2nd Street, Fulton, NY. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 9:30 in Holy Trinity Church, Fulton, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Finger Lakes Hematology Oncology, 2 Coulter Rd., Clifton Springs, NY.
