Charlotte Downing, director, Curriculum and Program Development, along with Karen, her friend of 50 years, participated in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer on Sept. 20-21, 2003, in New York. Charlotte trained during the spring and summer for this 26-mile marathon walk through the City of New York. Participants were required to raise a minimum of $1,750 in order to be a part of the walk. Charlotte raised over $4,600 and counting!
Every three minutes a woman in the USA is diagnosed with breast cancer. Thanks, Char, for your outstanding efforts in making a difference in the crusade against breast cancer.
