Passing of  Professor Emeritus Vincent J. Natale


I am sad to inform the college community that Professor Emeritus Vincent J. Natale died on March 9.

Professor Natale, who began his MCC career as a part-time assistant psychology professor in 1966, retired from the college in 1982. He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria (Dalberth), and parents Lucia (DiSanta) and Antonio Natale; brothers William May, Albert Natale, Fr. Joseph Natale, Louis Natale; sisters, baby Rose, Louise Bartholomay and Elizabeth Zicari. He is survived by his children, Barbara (Dr. John) Spoonhower, Thomas (Mary) Natale, and Karen (Mark) Natale-Atkins; grandchildren Dr. Christopher (Dr. Kimberly) Spoonhower, Jeffrey (Marie) Spoonhower, Paul Spoonhower, Vincent T. Natale, Luce Natale, Renae Atkins, and Michael Atkins; great grandchildren, Joshua Spoonhower, Sean Spoonhower, Claire Spoonhower, and Teresa Spoonhower; sister-in-law Rita (Louis) Natale; brother-in-law, Dr. Salvatore (Joan) Dalberth, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A 1944 graduate of Madison High School, Professor Natale served in the U.S. Coast Guard/Merchant Marine during World War II. He received a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Brockport and a master’s degree from Penn State University.
