CSTEP is an academic enrichment program that focuses on recruitment and retention from underrepresented individuals in the fields of science, technology, engineering, math (STEM), and the licensed and health professions.

STEP is funded by a grant from the NYS Education Department to increase the number of historically underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students prepared to enter college, and improve their participation rate in STEM fields and the licensed and health professions.
