On August 10th, Dina Giovanelli (Anthropology/History/Political Science/Sociology), as co-chair of the Diversity Council and coordinator of the Democracy Commitment, attended an advisory session with Rochester YWCA President and CEO Jean Carroll to provide feedback on Carroll's creation of a workshop for college students focused on "Unconscious Bias". Giovanelli was asked to participate in reviewing work shop materials due to her experience with college students, and passions for teaching, and for addressing racial injustice in our culture. This collaboration will be advantageous to students and the Greater Rochester community.
