Curriculum and Program Development Director Charlotte Downing was appointed to the YWCA Advisory Council to the Board of Directors for a three-year term. She joins MCC's Marlene Goho, coordinator, Faculty Association, who was also named to the board. The board will begin meeting in early May.
The YWCA focuses on renewing women and rebuilding lives through services that assist with unemployment, homelessness, drug/alcohol addiction and teen-age pregnancy. The Rochester YWCA is one of 300 nationwide chapters and serves about 3000 women annually.
