Essential Discussion Draws Media Attention


News8 (WROC-TV) and WXXI News (AM 1370) reported on the May 6 Essential Discussion on closing the skills gap held on the Brighton Campus. Their reports aired Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.

The discussion drew attendees representing academia, business, nonprofit and government. National education experts and local panelists led the discussion, which aimed to raise greater awareness of the skills gap, engage educators and employers in a collaborative approach to the education and training of the next generation of workers, and drive real action to help bridge the skills gap.
