President Flynn was recently interviewed by WHAM-1180AM’s Brendan O’Riordan about the health care community’s $900,000 gift to MCC’s Department of Nursing. The gift will help MCC maintain the enrollment expansion the college and the partners began in 2002 to alleviate the nursing shortage in Rochester.
Excellus BlueCross BlueShield-Rochester Region, Preferred Care, University of Rochester Medical Center, Unity Health System and The Rochester General Hospital Foundation will each contribute $180,000 over five years to the Monroe Community College Foundation.
During the interview, President Flynn said, “by partnering like this we’re doing a great thing for our community.”
