MCC is among those community colleges that are responding "to globalization, the growing immigrant population and world events" by adding language courses. "Multilingual Nation," an article that appears in the April/Mary edition of Community College Journal, points to MCC classes in Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew and Japanese as well as its expanded offerings in French, German, Italian, Spanish and American Sign Language.
