MCC Daily Tribune

MCC is Tobacco-Free

This is a reminder that all MCC campuses are Tobacco-Free. This means tobacco use is prohibited inside campus buildings and outside on campus property including parking lots. Tobacco-Free means that cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco, e-cigarettes, and vaping is prohibited on our campuses.

Additionally, MCC recently updated it's Tobacco-Free Policy to bring our Downtown Campus in compliance with NYS Public Health Law. The college has five programs that serve secondary students - Rochester Early College International High School, Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math & Science, Liberty Partnerships, and Transitional Program for Students with Disabilities. NYS Public Health Law prohibits smoking within one hundred feet of the entrances, exits, or outdoor areas of any entity serving elementary or secondary students. This includes city sidewalks, green space, and parking lots not owned by the college.

Thank you for respecting the health of our college community including partnerships that make college a reality for high school students in the Rochester area.
