Professor Paul D’Alessandris, Engineering Science and Physics, was featured in the July 2nd issue of Campus Technology for his SPIRALPhysics workbooks. This series of workbooks has been used in place of a standard textbook in the introductory physics course sequence at Monroe Community College for the past several years. The calculus- and algebra-based introductory physics texts were written under an NSF grant. The SPIRALPhysics workbooks have been effective at improving student conceptual understanding of mechanics, problem-solving ability, and course completion rate. Congratulations, Paul!
