Harrington Presents at SUNY Librarians Conference

Alice Harrington (ETS Libraries) participated in a panel discussion as a member of the Rochester Regional Library Council's Information Literacy Continuum Committee at the SUNY Librarians Association's annual conference held from June 14th - 16th at SUNY Geneseo. The group, consisting of high school and academic librarians, introduced Core Library Research Skills: Grades 9-14+, a document outlining at which grades specific research skills should be introduced to students and the grades by which they should be mastered. The document is intended to serve as a guideline and a teaching tool for instructors as well as librarians to better ensure all students are prepared for college level research assignments.

Harrington, with Tom Trinchera (Dutchess Community College), also presented a session on preventative approaches to problem behaviors in academic libraries.
