News 10NBC, 13WHAM-TV and YNN Rochester interviewed Student Events and Governance Association President Antoine Reeves, Deputy Speaker of the Senate Jack Hills, and HSMI Director John Perrone on Saturday for their coverage of MCC’s September 11th Remembrance Ceremony.
Perrone, a military veteran, delivered the keynote address. Other speakers were President Kress, County Executive Maggie Brooks, Brighton Town Supervisor Sandra Frankel, and monument designer Mark Maddalina. Several speakers remarked on the heroism and bravery of those dedicated to public service, including first responders and troops. President Kress acknowledged the approximately 500 active and reserve military and veteran students at MCC, including Hills, a volunteer firefighter and a part-time emergency medical technician, and Reeves, a military veteran.
