Marketing Program Earns National Honors

Monroe Community College's Marketing Communications Department recently received two national awards for its communication programs.

At the recent National Council for Marketing and Public Relations Conference (NCMPR) in Las Vegas, Nev., MCC received a Gold Paragon Award in the Outdoor Advertising category for the Damon City Campus downtown billboard, "The Future is Now In Session." The College also received a Silver Paragon Award in the Successful Student Recruitment Marketing Program category for its campaign to high school students, "The Right Fit."

The award-winning team included the Rochester advertising agency Buck & Pulleyn, Director of Marketing Communications Constance Herrera, and Marketing Communications Specialist Susan Chekow Lusignan.

The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations is the only organization of its kind that exclusively represents marketing and public relations professionals at more than 600 community, technical and junior colleges in the United States, Canada, England, Australia, and the Bahamas.
