Fetzner Article included in Sloan Publication

An article authored by Marie J. Fetzner, Assistant to the VP, ETS and the Banner Project Manager, is included in the Sloan Consortium's newest publication on online learning. Fetzner's article, "Institutional Support for Online Faculty: Expanding the Model" appears in "Elements of Quality Online Education, Volume 4 in the Sloan-C Series" edited by Dr. John Bourne and Dr. Janet C. Moore. Marie's contribution on support services for online faculty members--The Monroe Model--is included within the Faculty Satisfaction portion of the book. Her description of the development and implementation of The Monroe Model concept also is included as a best practice on the Sloan Consortium (Sloan-C) website: https://www.sloan-c.org.

The Sloan Consortium consists of institutions and organizations committed to quality online education. Created with funding from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Sloan-C encourages the collaborative sharing of knowledge and effective practices to improve online education in learning effectiveness, access, affordability for learners and providers, and student and faculty satisfaction. MCC is a Sloan-C member.

Marie currently is working on her Ph.D. dissertation on online student retention at the University of Rochester's Margaret Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development.
