Last Call For FACES!

On behalf of The Campus Activities Board (https://web.monroecc.edu/CAB/), thank you to all of those MCC Campus Community Members who have already created their FACE for the Tribune Mosaic!

If you haven't already done so, be sure to stop by the MAKE A FACE Station (right in between the Campus Center Office, 3-126 and the Campus Center Service Desk) to make your face!  All of the supplies are there waiting there for you!!!  Students, faculty, staff, alumni, friends, and families are invited to make their faces.  No special artistic skills are required.  Everyone is welcome.  Draw alone or as a group.  It's simple and easy to do.  Encourage others to draw too.  It doesn't matter how well you draw, participation is everything!  There is no fee to make your face!

The last day to submit your FACE is Wednesday, August 29, 2007!

Next month, 16 x 20" Faces of Monroe Community College Tribune Mosaics will be available for sale (for $25.00) as a fundraiser to battle kidney disease and help one of MCC's own families!

Kathy Navarro, MCC student extraordinaire, is giving life to her nephew by donating one of her kidneys.  Kathy’s sister, Diane Dawson, who works in MCC's Instructional Technologies Department, has a preteen son, David, who has dealt with kidney disease all of his life.  With the support of his family, friends, and medical care, he has been able to be active in sports and dreams of being a professional athlete.  Kathy is donating one of her kidneys to help David live his dreams, and she has to take off 6-8 weeks from work to give this incredible gift.

All of the proceeds will be donated to support Kathy and David…to help cover the co-payments, medical costs, and services for the family during their recovery.  Please take the time to MAKE A FACE!
