Timothy Wentworth ’80 to Address Graduates, Receive Honorary Doctorate

Excitement is building towards Commencement in May. Our anticipated 2,630 graduates and their families will have an exclusive opportunity to hear alumnus Timothy “Tim” Wentworth ’80 deliver the Message to Graduates at this year’s ceremony. They will also witness a first in MCC history.

As a member of the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame and a Salute to Excellence recipient, Tim personifies why MCC is inspiring every day. As a student, he came to MCC like so many, seeking a brighter future. He forged a path that led him to an MCC associate degree in business, to Cornell University for a bachelor’s degree in industrial and labor relations, and into the business world. He serves as president and chief operating officer of Express Scripts Holding Company, a Fortune 20 corporation. He is a frequent speaker at national and international business conferences and symposia.

His success and generosity inspire others, especially current MCC students through the Timothy and Robin Wentworth Endowed Scholarship Fund and the Wentworth Family Scholarship Program. During the ceremony, Tim will receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters from the State University of New York—a first in MCC history.

The theme of his address is “It’s not where you start, it’s where you finish.” His words are sure to inspire the Class of 2015 and the entire MCC family.
