YNN Rochester reporter Seth Voorhees interviewed HSMI Director John Perrone on Thursday, Dec. 10, about the importance of presenting the “Active Shooter Awareness” seminar. Lieutenant Michael Fowler, an HSMI instructor, conducted the seminar, focusing on what community members can do to assist law enforcement in the aftermath of a shooting incident.
About 100 people, including emergency response teams, schools, churches and corporate security from various counties in the state, attended the 2½-hour seminar at the Public Safety Training Facility. To view and read the TV report:
