Melany Silas’ work was displayed at City Hall this past Saturday, March 10, 2012 at “The Day of Impact Against Domestic Violence.” An excerpt of her latest play, “Love’s Journey,” addresses issues of Domestic Violence within relationships. The event highlighted the impact of Domestic Violence on victims as well as on the children who are exposed to violence. Many attended the event at City Hall, including the Police Chief of Rochester, Healthy Start, Urban League of Rochester, ABC of Rochester, YWCA, local church leaders, and many more.
