World War II Veteran Shares Story of Liberation


13 WHAM news reporter Jim Madalinsky interviewed U.S. Army Veteran Alan Moskin, guest of the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project. Moskin spoke at MCC on April 23 about serving in World War II and liberating the Gunskirchen concentration camp in Austria in 1945. The event was the culmination of the college’s 25th annual Yom HaShoah Commemoration that also recognized the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. The audience comprised MCC students, alumni, trustees, faculty/staff and retirees as well as community leaders and local Holocaust survivors.

Regina Fabbro, Assistant Professor of English/Philosophy and Endowed Chair of Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Studies, was also interviewed.
