This week and next, I am holding open forums on the proposed changes to MCC's organizational structure. Yesterday's forum drew an engaged, packed house, and faculty and staff shared thoughtful questions and comments about the proposal. The next forum is Monday, April 28 at noon at the Damon City Campus. As I offered yesterday, if there is a request for more such presentations, I will certainly schedule them.
In addition to these open forums, I met Monday with an expanded version of the Special Committee on Administrative Affairs (SCAA) to walk through the proposal and address their questions. SCAA will be scheduling its own forums in the coming weeks. These forums are a valued part of MCC's shared governance process, providing the opportunity for the campus community to offer input on organizational changes. The dates will be posted in the MCC Daily Tribune in the near future.
