Half Circle Ride & Sustainability Circular Cycle Ride

Celebrate National Bike Month--join Jim Downer and MCC's Cycling Council for the 3rd annual Sustainability Circular Cycle Ride, Friday May 11th at 12:04 P.M. Gathering by the flagpoles, in front of building 1, at the Brighton Campus.

And the fun doesn't end there!...

The Half Circle Ride begins at 1:03 and ends at the Lovin' Cup
( Lovin' Cup, 300 Park Point Drive Rochester, NY 14623 )
We'll gather by the flagpoles, in front of building 1 before the start of the Half Circle Ride.

BE PREPARED

Cyclists have all the same rights and are subject to all of the same duties and regulations applicable to drivers of motor vehicles. New York Biking -- https://www.dot.ny.gov/display/programs/bicycle/faq

• Ride in the street, not on the sidewalks (unless the rider is age 14 or younger).

• Ride with traffic, not against it.

• Stop at red lights and stop signs. Obey all traffic signals, signs and pavement markings, and exercise due care to avoid colliding with pedestrians, motor vehicles or other cyclists.

• Use marked bike lanes or paths when available, except when making turns or when it is unsafe to do so. If the road/lane is too narrow (12 ft. or less) for a bicycle and a car to travel safely side by side, you have the right to ride in the middle of the travel lane. Bicycling is permitted on all main and local streets, even when no designated bike route exists.

• Be equipped with a white headlight and a red taillight, as well as a bell or horn and reflectors.

• Don't wear earphones. By law you may wear one ear-bud, but keeping your ears clear is a much safer choice.

• Wear a helmet. Helmets are required by law for children age 13 or younger and working cyclists, helmets are a good idea for cyclists of all ages.
