On Friday, October 24th, the Public Safety Training Facility Video Production Department team of John Frontuto and Daren Hammond were awarded a LEVA Shield Award in Orlando, Florida. The Law Enforcement & Emergency Services Video Association is an international organization consisting of established videographers from local, state, and federal law enforcement and emergency services agencies, public safety and forensic professionals. Their winning entry "Fireworks" was created to train law enforcement officers on the hazards and laws regarding fireworks and homemade explosives. The video was produced with cooperation from the Monroe County Fire Bureau and both the Rochester Police Department and Monroe County Sheriff Bomb Squads.
