Hope Starts Here. Together, We Are Making Strides.

The MCC chapter of the American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC) is gearing up for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer on October 16, 2005 at Frontier Field. We would like all of us from MCC to walk together. We will be meeting at Frontier Field at 9:00 am in front of ticket window number three. Look for the big MCC banner!

Every three minutes, a woman in the United States learns she has breast cancer. Anyone can be touched by the effects of breast cancer because these women could be our mothers, wives, sisters, or friends. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is a noncompetitive walk to raise awareness and dollars to fight breast cancer. Pledges are dedicated to lifesaving American Cancer Society research, education, advocacy, and patient service programs to defeat the disease. The walk itself is a 1.5 mile walk to the Liberty Pole and back. Walking in Making Strides is a fun way to raise money to fight this disease.

It is not too late to participate! If you are interested in becoming a member of our walk team, please email Susan Spinetti at sspinetti@monroecc.edu.
