Each month, MCC sends a briefing document to legislators and others to inform them of key initiatives related to our mission and the many ways we help students achieve their goals. Often, these briefs provide our external stakeholders with a sense of how MCC is responding to the national higher education agenda.
The May 2014 brief (attached) focuses on how MCC is an exceptional place to start an academic career and significantly reduce the cost of earning a bachelor’s degree. The brief highlights our recognized leadership in guaranteed transfer agreements and how MCC faculty are staying aware of changing requirements at four-year institutions in order to help students transfer.
We hope that you will find this information helpful in your own work at MCC and in your conversations about the college in the community.
