Bethany Gizzi, President of the Faculty Association and Associate Professor of Sociology, presented as part of a panel discussion on “Campaigns for Trans Inclusivity” at the national Higher Education Conference of the American Federation of Teachers and National Education Association, on March 14th. The theme of the conference was “Advancing Equality On and Off Campus.” Bethany’s presentation focused on efforts to create a more inclusive and welcoming campus for transgender students and employees.
