Méndez Rizzo Accepts Appointment on National Accreditation Commission
Mary Méndez Rizzo will serve on the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) Accreditation Commission.
As concurrent enrollment programs continue to grow nationally, applications for NACEP Accreditation have increased. The Accreditation Commission recently expanded to handle the increase in applications from colleges seeking accreditation. Mary was asked to serve a one-year term as Member at Large representative given her recent experience in leading the MCC program re-accreditation process, service on the New York Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NYCEP) group, and experience with various models of concurrent / dual enrollment.
As part of her commissioner role, Mary will review accreditation applications and evidence from various colleges and make recommendations. She will also assist NACEP with its annual Accreditation Institute, a session offered to institutions preparing for accreditation, held at the national conference in November.
