The MCC men's soccer team defeated Bryant and Stratton this past weekend in the NJCAA Region III finals. Sophomore Chris Bedford (Penfield) earned Defensive Player of the Tournament. Mark Nerkowski (Fairport) earned Offensive Player of the Tournament. MCC won in penalty kicks. They will play Massasoit C.C. on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 10 am in the District Tournament.
The MCC women's soccer team also defeated Bryant and Stratton in the Region III finals. The Lady Tribunes won 6-0. Freshman Melissa Hornfeck (Odenton, MD) scored three goals. She was named Offensive Player of the Tournament. MCC will travel to the Community College of Rhode Island where they will play the winner of the New Jersey region on Friday, Nov. 5 at 11 am.
