MCC swimmers Meghan Rickelman and Kevin Burns were named the MCC Athletes of the Week.
Rickelman, a freshman, was named female Outstanding Performer of the Meet as the MCC women's swimming and diving team won its sixth consecutive Region III/Northeast District championship. She set a meet record in winning the 500 freestyle (5:21.72), while also placing first in the 200 backstroke (2:13.77) and the 400 IM (4:57.53).
Burns, a freshman, was named the Male Outstanding Performer of the meet as the MCC men's swimming and diving team won its 11th straight Region III/Northeast District championship. Burns placed first in the 200 IM (1:57.45), the 400 IM (4:15.21), and the 200 backstroke (1:56.51). He also set a meet record in the preliminaries of the 200 IM.
