On Thursday June 12th John Nyerges, jazz pianist, performed at the second annual Rochester International Jazz Festival for the second time. (Last year he performed with recording artist/jazz saxophonist Vince Ercolamento in the Eastman Theater) This year he performed two shows with recording artist/blues singer Victoria Corrigan at Max's Place to a packed house.
On Sunday June 29th John will lead his own jazz quartet as a part of the RPO/City of Rochester Sunday Serenade Series that features members of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. The concert is from 1:00-2:40 PM inside St. Marys Church or outside at Washington Square Pk.
John is starting his 10th year as the jazz pianist with the RPO W-Pops series this Fall.
He is also on the summer faculty at the prestigious Eastman School of Music CED Jazz Camp in July.
